Social Media in D.C.
I thought Robert Scoble’s recent post from D.C. was really cool. Annaliese has the Cynthia Lummis campaign up on tumblr, twitter, facebook, and flickr. They also have a really nice website.
Some of the services are more usefull than others (I think the Lummis campaign prefers twitter to anything else) and it is cool to get several accounts about what the campaign is doing (twitter), experiences of one of the staffers (tumblr), show of support (facebook), and pictures from the road (flickr).
Increased access to the politicians we elect is an important utility of social media. Hopefully this also leads to increased accountability.
